The culinary delights of the French countryside have now been brought to the North of England and are served in Bouchon Bistrot at reasonable prices. Sample tasty starters such as Pork Terrine with herb salad, followed by delicious main courses including Roasted Skate Wing with beurre noisette and capers.
With each dish prepared and cooked in a simple fashion, Bouchon Bistrot is the ideal spot to enjoy an informal and family-friendly dining atmosphere in the heart of Hexham.
Very french, very professional, very friendly. Good value for supper and special occasions, even better value for early evening and lunch fixed-price menus. The duck confit is to die for but all the dishes on a well chosen menu are fine. Wines are realistically priced but the Cahors, for instance, is very good and the house wine goes great with lunch. The atmosphere in the downstairs dining room and bar is easy and relaxed with a constant bustle that makes you feel at home.
